Chuck Sutton Expression Toolkit Vol. 1 - for Ableton Live 11 Suite

To celebrate the workshop I did for Ableton's Push 3 Pop Up, and new music I have on the way, I'm giving you a couple of tools I've built to make producing feel more interactive than ever!

Fun on:

• Trackpad/Mouse - no MIDI controllers necessary!
• MIDI controller - sometimes necessary!

• Push 3 - a physical chance to hold your presets!

Here's a video explaining how to use each device, how they work, and some starter ideas for you to have fun with!

Includes:

Chuck Sutton's Scrub Sampler!

Don't worry about pressing notes, or layering your foley to feel real - just scrub it!

Instructions: Place a textured sound of your choice in the Sampler (1 sample included)

Place a long midi note on the same track (MIDI note is included in pack, just drag and drop)

Move the scrub knob!!

To map to the Push 3, go to the MPE tab, make sure the Expression Control is set to Slide, and map it to the main macro knob! Instant Push 3 compatibility.

Chuck Sutton's Dynamic Hat Sampler!

Tired of your hi hats not feeling realistic? Tired of finding a bunch that'll work together? Turn one sample into many with the Dynamic Hat Sampler!

Instructions: Place an open hat sound of your choice in the sampler (1 sample included)

Play with a MIDI controller that has velocity, or draw in the velocity

That's it :)

Chuck Sutton AND Skym's Jump4Joy!

Sometimes one octave isn't enough - two will do! Use your trackpad, MIDI controller, or the Skym iOS app found at https://resguide.net/ to find rhythms through pitch bend!

Instructions:

Drag in sample of your choice (2 samples included)

Press a midi note, and then slide the octave jump and feel it out!

Loop your sample for better results, perhaps smooth out the attack if you play with the sample start knob

On Push 3, wiggle your finger to detune your samples!

On Skym, scrub and tap with multiple fingers to unleash more gestures!
