The Writer's Block Beat Contest #1

I've set up a download so you can keep the video and do something visual with it for your contest submission! Please refrain from using this video in your own personal projects and/or for profit.

Deadline: Friday, July 30th 2021 11:59 PM EST (till end of the day!)

Rules:

Rule #1 - Your video should be under 1 minute! Any video over 1 minute won’t work for entry. You CAN record longer takes and edit them down to be under a minute!

Rule #2 - Make sure to upload your video to either Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok. This is where i’ll be looking for submissions! Please do not snapchat me your beat.

Rule #3 - Use the hashtag #wblock001 in the description of your submission video - when I search “#wblock001” on social media, there’ll be a 99% chance I can see your video before the deadline.

Rule #4 - Make sure the writer’s block is visible in your submission! Feel free to show yourself using MIDI gear, just make sure there’s evidence that the writer’s block is being used. (When you’re done with your beat, export a full version so I can use it in the next announcement video if you win!)

OPTIONAL Rule #5 - If you want to explain what you’re doing, use subtitles! If you talk over your music we won’t be able to appreciate it as much. Any font works, as long as its clear and doesn’t obstruct what’s happening.
